Xiaomi Dominates the Category "Offline" in India


Redmi smartphones are very popular among online shoppers in India. A high demand for Redmi 3, Redmi 4, Redmi Note 3 and Redmi Note 4 helped the company post all new record numbers a few times. Recently the Chinese brand revealed that its offline sales already brought $ 775.000 in revenue.

More than 10.000 fans came to Mi Store in Phoenix Marketcity in Bangalore. It is, by the way, the first physical retail store of Xiaomi products in India. Manu Jain, the Vice President and Managing Director of Xiaomi, commented: “Opening the first brick and mortar store in India was very emotional for all of us. I was deeply moved to see so many people lining up in front of the store at 8 a.m. I had a lot of fun talking to fans and answering numerous questions about Mi Home”. 

It may be said without exaggeration that no other smartphone maker managed to build such a fan-base in India so far. The company already has a 29.3% market share that makes it the most powerful smartphone brand in the online universe in India.
