Huami Youth Smart Watch Will Be Released into the World Soon

Huami (internationally known as Amazfit) has created a smart watch with youth in mind. The product will hit the stores in China soon and is likely to be sold outside of the country as well, probably under a name Amazfit Bip.

Unlike previous Huami smart watches the youth version will have a square shape with a 1.28-inch screen covered with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and Sony’s AF foil. It will weigh 18 grams alone and 32 grams with a belt.

Huami Youth health and fitness bracelet will be IP68 certified, boasting a waterproof housing. The device will pack in several sensors: a PPG sensor, a triaxial accelerometer, a geomagnetic sensor and an atmospheric pressure sensor. It will also board a dual-channel GPS and GLONASS that will allow to calculate the distance, altitude, pedaling cadence, rhythm and other sports data quicker and more accurately.

The new Huami hand-worn fitness gadget will synch with the phone via Bluetooth 4.0 BLE. It will be made of polycarbonate and will be powered by a 190 mAh battery, which, according to Huami, can provide up to 4 months of minimal performance like checking time, monitoring steps and sleep. The operating time will be somewhat lower if you use GPS all the time.

As with all the previous Huami wearable gizmos, you will need the Mi Fit app to see a detailed sports and health statistics of yours. The smart watch will be compatible with Android version 4.4 and higher and iOS version 8 and higher.
