Eighteen Mi Smartphones Upgraded to MIUI 9!

Lei Jun announced the renewal of the stable version of MIUI 9. He said that already 18 Mi smartphones received this firmware update. We remind that the first smartphones seeing MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM were Mi 6 and Mi Max 2.

Here are some of these devices:

  • Mi Mix / Mix 2
  • Mi Note 3
  • Mi 6
  • Max 2
  • Note 2
  • Mi 5 / 5C / 5X / 5S / 5S Plus
  • Redmi 5A / Note 5A / Note 4X
  • Mi 4S / 4C

There are two ways to upgrade your smartphone to stable version of MIUI9. The first is to receive an official update message via the Xiaomi website. The second one is a manual update using the phone settings.

— download MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM from the official MIUI website and save the file on your smartphone;

— go to Settings > About phone > System update and click on the “three dots” icon, which is located on the upper right corner of the screen;

— Select “Select a firmware file” and specify the location of the downloaded file on your smartphone;

— Confirm the installation and wait for it to complete.

— go to Settings > About phone > System update;

— Select “Check for updates”;

— Confirm the download of the update file and install it (the process will take about 20 minutes).

If you do not have a device that supports the new system, you can visit one of the websites given here to buy any of the above models to also enjoy the new features.
